Teaching The Next Generation - Connecticut Smallmouth! Bantam Lake

Teaching The Next Generation - Connecticut Smallmouth! Bantam Lake

Summer Fishing in Connecticut

Summer Fishing in Connecticut

Water temps still on the rise, high 70’s, the early morning or late evening bite has been most productive. Largemouth and smallmouth seem to be most active. Again, handle with care, keep the fish in the water, remove hook carefully, and take a quick pic and release safely!

With the heat wave this weekend, be careful out there, drink plenty of water and wear sunscreen! Next week air temps will return to normal!

Carp on the Fly! Mid Summer!

Carp on the Fly! Mid Summer!

Here we are in the heat of July, and boy is it hot some days. Water temps are well over 75 and a little dangerous for the fish. PLEASE HANDLE WITH CARE! Get them in the water asap and handle quickly. Flows on the rivers have come way down and starting to fish for Carp on the Fly. If you have any questions or want to chat, reach out anytime! Happy Summer! - Pogo
